the word kawaii,,, my ears bleed.

It was almost "Every time I see the word kawaii... My eyes bleed." But I liked this better.

I have nothing against the japanese language, actually, I quite like it, but there are some things that have gotten on my nerves. Utter misuse (and over use) of the word "kawaii." Yes, I used to be silly and do that too, but now it's plain annoying. I see it misused and over used everyday, it's also annoying when that's all a person has to say.

Yes,,, I did make this because I saw someone with "isn't this so kawaii!" In their sigs. >.> No is wasn't on da, thankfully.
In any case, I'd like to reiterate that it's nothing against the word, just the constant mis-use.

Edit: Something in the timeing is really bad, anyone with suggestions on a better time interval is welcome to suggest away.
Edit 2: Now I feel rather stupid, I forgot to upload the updated timing! Well here it is, sorry I took so long. It still seems a bit off... ><

but yeah... i agree with you completely... if your going to say something in japanese... say it in a sentance... don't just say the one word you know

LOL! Ok thats pretty funny. I havent gotten it much on DA but on my cosplay.com website almost half of all my comments consist of kawaii and thats it.....I mean theres gotta be something more to say than just cute right?....but to me cute is better than no comment at all.

But I totally understand...go to an anime convention...youll never want to hear that word again!

As far as timing is concerned Id just make it switch a little bit faster...it almost seems like its glitching at this speed.

XD i already never want to hear the word again! lol. I plan to go to gencon next year, so i'm going to have bleeding ears XD
To me if all they have to say is kawaii then say it elsewhere, XD I know it sounds harsh but it doesn't help me improve and it actually makes me feel bad about my work, i mean, if the only thing they think when they look at the drawing is 'kawaii' then I obviously failed.

Does two and a half seconds seem like a good time? I think I can leave it on four seconds for the second panel, I'll see when I change it.

XDDDD I always make some exceptions, but over all, yes, if you're going to say something in japanese then say it in a japanese sentace. saying "OMG that's so kawaii!" Only makes you look like a twit. now if you say it in japanese, that's fine,, XD Although confusing to people who have no idea what you're talking about.
Something else that annoies me is when someone is told to say it in a sentance and they butcher the sentance. " Anata ba,, uh, really kawaii!" "Anata wa totemo kawaii?" "Yeah that!" "... You haven't seen a picture of me.."
I saw that on a pic on da once, it made me cry.

.8? could the majority of people read the first one in that ammount of time? I've just set the time to 2.1 for the first frame and 3.0 for the second, i haven't uploaded it yet.

The square that says "Kat reverie" Is the last square, it stays for three seconds ^_^ I may try to get rid of my beef with it by setting it up with four panels for the first one and one for the last one and have the " . . ." be a lil under a second each.

thats not as bad as seeing a club that claims to be otaku saying "otake means that you reallu like anime and manga, sorry it doesn't work for agmes but we'll make an exception" and i was very very very tempted to write a note telling them in a nice way... or at least as nice as i could... that thats not what the word means... it simply means being obssesed with something to the point where it effects the way you life your day to day life... it isn't a very good thing either *sighs* stupid fan girls/boys
